Lilytopia 2025 at Gardens by the Bay
From Tulipmania 2025 to Sakura 2025, our beloved Gardens by the Bay is no stranger to seasonal displays of floral-infused beauty. This time, a scent-sational affair’s brewing in the gardens, as GBTB is shining the spotlight on a particularly fragrant family of flowers in their new Lilytopia exhibition.
The exhibition, whose name is a tad on the nose might we add, will be featuring a wide variety of lilies to grace your feeds with, along with installations that’ll transport you right to the canals of Venice. Here’s all you need to know before heading down.
What to expect at Lilytopia 2025?

The Lilytopia floral exhibition will be held at Gardens by the Bay’s Flower Dome, from 22nd May to 15th June 2025. It’ll be open from 9am to 9pm daily, and you’ll have to purchase tickets to the Flower Dome (from $12) to have a gander at the beautiful blooms.

You’ll probably be able to smell the 10,000 lilies that make up Lilytopia before you lay your eyes on them. They’re known for their intense, sweet scent, so take the time to get a good whiff of them as you go around snapping pics. Of course, it’ll be a visual feast as well, as the display will sport over 50 varieties of lilies that bloom in a kaleidoscope of colours.

Lilies happen to be the national flower of Italy, so it’s only natural that Lilytopia draws some inspiration from Bel Paese. To be more exact, the display pays homage to the floating city of Venice. Alongside the stunning array of flowers, features like the iconic Venetian canals and artisan shopfronts will be recreated for all to pose beside.

Other Italian callbacks to spot within your viewfinder include intricate masks which are a nod to the Carnival of Venice, as well as a replica of the quintessential kitchen of a nonna. The highlight of Lilytopia will undoubtedly be a scaled-down version of the St. Mark’s Tower, a landmark which stands proudly in the heart of Venice.

Visitors can also swing by Lilytopia to try their hands at lily-related hands-on activities such as the free Sensory Moments – Lilytopia programme. You’ll get to quiz your nose on the scents of different species of lilies, feel them in your hands, and even taste them. For the creative crowd, take part in the Get Crafty! – Lily Phone Charm workshop ($15) to put together a cute trinket for your phones.

Additionally, consider swinging by on 4th June 2025 to catch a special performance. World-renowned Italian flutist Andrea Griminelli, Singaporean string ensemble Strings&Things Collective, and pianist Matthew Mak will come together to enchant your evening with Baroque masterpieces.
